In a series of interviews of local Eastern Shore residents in 1993, Salisbury University students and teachers collected folk life material. For this project, Rosalind Baines and Ericak Rogers worked together to collect folk material related to jokes and "joaning". Joaning is form of humor involving teasing and belittling the opponents ("Your mom is so..."). The students interviewed four of their peers to collect their best "lines". Transcripts and tape enclosed.
